Today turned out to be a great day for the workshop after all the rain and wind yesterday.
Some 12 enthusiastic gardeners attended the workshop, which was very informative and practical. Nikki showed us how to make a No Dig garden, how to prepare a garden bed for your tomato plants and told us about companion planting among other things. Even the experienced gardeners learned definitely something new today. We also had the opportunity to share information over a cup of tea/coffee and some yummy cake after the workshop.

Solar & Wind powered home
We visited a local solar & wind powered home on Sunday 22 May.
The turnout was good with approx. 20 people attending. The house was off the grid and powered by a 2kW wind turbine and 2kW Photovoltaic cells. In addition to this there is a generator that they only use four times a year.
Afterwards we enjoyed a coffee and cake.
